Way Back When-esday

I am sharing my favorite picture of Zachary and I when he was a baby.
This picture shows everything that was in my heart
when I held him in my arms.

the love
the pride
the protectiveness
the responsibility
the pure happiness

I loved being his mommy.

Way Back When-esday

Dateline: August/September 2005
Zach's age: 3 years old

This is what Zachary would do when Gary came to pick me up from a date or drop me off. He hadn't met him yet so he would stare out the window as he drove up to "check him out". This created quite the curiosity in him, so by the time I was ok with Gary meeting him he was super excited about it. It was a super smooth transition.

P.S. I miss that couch (it was a slip-cover) and those curtains (even if they are crooked). I made those curtains myself. It was the first time I got to decorate just for me with no one else to please. I loved every inch of that decor. ::sigh::

Dateline: Early Fall 2004

Sniff...Sniff....sniff....ok I gotta go to bed before I just start bawling right here.

Way Back When-esday - Updated

I am faking it til I make it today. I am feeling very beat down. It is just one of those days that I wonder why God thought I could handle twins. Specifically these two teething, crying, whiny, fussy, high maintenance, hair pulling, 2 minute attention span, can't be put down, but can't sit up but REALLY don't want to lay back in their bouncers or swings, can't be taken outside because of the wind little girls. ::sigh::

So now for the fun stuff: Check out Cheryl's site to see other great way back photos!

Zachary was about 18 months here.

He absolutely loved to read books. We would lay for about an hour and look at books by himself.

And just for the fun of it. When do you think this was taken of me?? I will update tonight and reveal the date. How old do you think I am in this picture. I'll give you a hint: I am not 12 like Gary says I look.

Updated!!
You were right Katie! This was in 2003 and that makes me 26. I know I look a ton younger in this picture. I was actually teaching Kinder and we were having a pow-wow for Thanksgiving. So much fun. This outfit was my mom's girl scout troop outfit that she wore when she was a pre-teen! This was when I was a size 6, smaller than I was even in high school.

And because I would feel guilty if I didn't, here are some early pics of the girls and me in the hospital.

Way Back When-esday

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts a trip down memory lane every Wednesday. So I am playing along today.

First is my Zachary. Can you tell where the girls get their chubby cheeks from? He is about 15 months here I think. He loved books and being in his diaper.

Here the girls are about a week old.

I thought about this picture the other day when I saw both my girls in their own swings. I wish I could go back for just a day to hold those tiny babies. I was just so tired and hurting from my c-section, trying to pump and breast feed and so over-whelmed. It was hard to enjoy them. So can I have them back for just a day? With their Preemie size clothes that are too big? Tiny enough to share the same swing?

Kinda funny that Abby is the one that has the pacifier in. She hardly ever takes hers now. Olivia wouldn't then, but now she's the one that likes hers the most.

Be sure to visit Cheryl and play along with Way Back When-esday!

Way Back Wed-nesday

Ok this is a first for me. Cheryle over at Twinfatuation does this every week and I want to join in this time. Since the girls' way back when is like a month ago, I am going to post pictures of Gary and me. Then I will set up a poll to see who you think looks like who. Did you follow that?
