Update on our sleep issues

They actually did well last night. And today during their morning nap, Olivia went to sleep after about 10 mins of crying and slept for an hour and a half. Abby did not. at all. She cried for an hour. Great big sobbing cries. It was heart breaking. But I did stay in the house with the monitor on today so go me! Abby went on to fall asleep in her high chair for a cat nap during lunch. Afternoon nap went well also for Olivia who cried a few mins and then off to sleep she went amid Abby's cries. again. for an hour. ::sigh::

Thanks for your encouraging words. I am feeling better myself. I have some bad moments where my thoughts tend to go where they were yesterday, but I know that better days are ahead.

You know what else is ahead? Normal blog posts of cuteness, couponing, way backness, works for meness, braggingness. I know I owe you Easter pictures and my blag about Gary.

Adorable post!

I remember when I took my daughters' pacifiers away and they would scream instead of taking a nap. It was upsetting to hear them cry. I survived but it was tough.
Also, with twins, they feed off each other. I suspect that Abby will see Olivia napping and soon be napping too! Best of luck & hang in there - it gets better!

I love the picture at the top. I'm sorry about your sleep issues, too. We aren't doing so hot either.

I adore that pic of the girls. Too, too cute!

One day at a time Sara. I know it's hard, but so is everything else pertaining to parenthood. And as with everything else you've faced, you can do this. Cross my heart, you can.

Much love,
Deb

Love the picture... Abby sounds like Maggie. There were so many days that would I listen to her cry and cry... It was awful. It got better. She has her days but for the most part it's better. Can't wait to see more picutes!!

Love the picture!

Cecilia has been fighting us too with sleeping. We tried patting, we've tried shushing but she's smart and she knows it's us. So the last couple of nights we've just let her cry and it's gotten less and less to where last night it was no more than 20 minutes and she then had a great night of sleep.

Good luck! I hate the crying too.

Love the pic. I know it's SO hard getting the sleep straightened out but it's SOOOOO worth it in the end. To be honest, I rocked Amelia to sleep for naps till after she was a year old. I also put them to sleep in my arms till after a year at night but didn't go in if they woke at night. Don't be so hard on yourself. it's HARD to hear your babies cry. Hugs!!!!!
