6 years old.
That's the age when...
~he no longer wants to hold my hand in public
~he shuts the door to go to the bathroom
~the notes I put in his lunchbox embarrass him more than make him feel special
~my kisses in front of his friends make him say "Oh mom"
~my baby's not my baby anymore

I remember when my baby (almost as tall as me) brother started this phase. It started earlier for mom than the sisters because we did so much for him :) One day he will show love and not be embarrassed!!

Please Please do not get overly emotional....because you know what?, then you will become like my mother who is having a NERVOUS BREAKDOWN because we are going to Matt's family get together in Arkansas for Thanksgiving.
Ummm...he's 6. You are 31ish. I think I have few more years to be emotional. :-)
I absolutely LOVE the picture of you two. So precious.
Definitely, the kids grow too fast.
I tagged you!! Go over to my blog and see what to do:)
Well just so you know you have a lot longer to do those thing with your girls! My now 7 year olds still want all of that and go to the bathroom with the door open but only the one upstairs in their room so they can still "chat" with each other, the group bathroom things is already in full force!
I dunno....I think any boy that looks at his Mommy that way -- despite his protestations -- likes all of Mommy's expressions of love...I'm just sayin'... ;)
That last picture makes me so happy...can only imagine what it does to you. :)
I would just like to make a point of saying that I JUST TURNED 31 in September. I'm so not 31ish. Sara is just saying that because she is on the downward slope of 35.
Argh...that's tough! A friend of mine was walking her son to kindergarten and he turns to her, drops her hand, and says, "I can handle it from here, Mom." Heartbreaking!!!
Awww.....that means I have 5 years left!
